Born and widely spread under the royal court of the Savoy, especially from the end of the eighteenth century, the Vermouth of Turin is now considered the undisputed heritage of the Piedmontese. Produced according to the original recipe of Giulio Cocchi, Vermouth di Torino it is remarkably complex and has a traditional bittersweet character, enriched with fruity and herbal notes through the use of fine Moscato wine as a base, infused with a secret recipe of local and exotic botanicals.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose is characterized by scents reminiscent of mugwort, citrus, cinchona, cocoa, camphor and rosemary. Shades of musk, sandalwood and nutmeg completed the olfactory picture. The palate is rich and vibrant, balsamic and pleasantly sweet, consistent with the nose and long in persistence.
HOW TO SERVE
Delicious neat, with ice and lemon zest, but essential as a base for the creation of the most classic cocktails, from Negroni to Manhattan.
