The single malt joined the range in 2013 and is practically a younger version of the Single Cask 15 year range. Balvenie Single Barrel First Fill 12 years is matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled in small batches, each bottle being hand-numbered and labeled with the barrel's reference number. The single malt is easy to drink, the aromatic palette being very well structured and balanced, in the specific Balvenie style. 

The bouquet displays notes of flowers, honey, apples, coconut and biscuit, wrapped in cinnamon tones. Rich aromas of bread with butter and honey, vanilla, caramel and fruit, to which are added woody influences.
