How to make A perfect SUMMER COCKTAIL ?
FLAMETHROWER
Inspired by the 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This blended Margarita brings the heat: take the spice level as hot as you can handle.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 30 ml Cointreau
- 60 ml Tequila
- 20 ml Fresh lime juice
- 0.5 cup Whole strawberries
- 5 ml Simple Syrup
- 1 slice Jalapeño
- 0.5 cup Crushed ice
HOW TO MAKE IT
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend to combine.
Pour into Margarita glass rimmed with chili-lime seasoning. Sprinkle more chili-lime seasoning on top of cocktail as desired.
PERFECT PALOMA
Not a fan of sweet cocktails? With a rich tequila base, the Paloma is mixed with lime juice and grapefruit-flavoured soda.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 45 ml Patrón Reposado
- 90 ml Fresh grapefruit juice
- 15 ml Agave syrup
- 15 ml Fresh squeezed lime juice
- 30 ml Sparkling water
- Sugar and salt for rimming
- Grapefruit wedge for garnish
HOW TO MAKE IT?
Combine all ingredients except sparkling water in a shaker tin and shake with ice to chill.
Strain onto fresh ice in a sugar and salt rimmed collins glass.
Top with sparkling water and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
PIÑA COLADA
What screams SUMMER more than a sweet Piña Colada? Originally from Puerto Rico, the piña colada even has its own song: " The Piña Colada Song " by Rupert Holmes.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 60 ml Havana Club Añejo rum
- 100 ml Fresh Pineapple Juice
- 30 ml Coconut Milk
- 5 ml Lime Juice (optional)
- 1 cup Crushed Ice
HOW TO MAKE IT
Fill a large jar with the ice. Add the white rum, pineapple juice, coconut milk, then stir.
Close the lid and shake it like you mean it for 30 seconds. Serve in a hurricane glass filled with ice and… enjoy!
MAI TAI
Created after World War II, the Mai Tai cocktail is the father of the well-known tiki cocktails. A curiosity: its name comes from the Tahitian expression „ mai tai” which means delicious.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 40 ml Havana Club Especial rum
- 15 ml Havana Club 7 rum
- 15 ml Triple sec
- 15 ml Orgeat Syrup 2
- 5 ml Fresh Lime juice
- 3 Ice cubes
HOW TO MAKE IT?
Put the Havana Club Especial, Havana Club 7 rum and Triple Sec in a shaker or large jar. Add the Orgeat Syrup, the lime and ice cubes.
Shake it like you mean it for about 30 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass and…salud!
Elyx Bloody Mary
Ah, the classic Bloody Mary: the go-to Sunday brunch favourite (sunglasses, optional). It’s a classic vodka cocktail recipe hailing from the 1920s… trust us, you’ll bloody love it.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 30 ml Absolut Elyx
- 120 ml Tomato Juice
- 3 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Dashes Hot Sauce
- Lemon Juice & Lemon
Celery
- Salt & Ground Black Pepper
Celery & Cherry Tomato
Ice Cubes
HOW TO MAKE IT
Fill a mule mug with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Garnish with celery, lemon and cherry tomato.
