Margarita Day

The Best Way to Celebrate Life!

On February 22 we celebrate the ultimate cocktail of all time, the Margarita! We all know how much we love Margaritas – it’s like a party in a glass! So, let’s get our salt shakers and limes ready and raise a toast to this delicious drink.

First things first, let’s talk about the origins of the Margarita. It’s rumored that in 1938, a Mexican bartender named Carlos “Danny” Herrera created the first Margarita when a customer asked for a drink that was not so harsh on the palate. He mixed tequila, lime juice, and triple sec, and the Margarita was born. Legend has it that he named it after a customer who was allergic to all types of alcohol except for tequila.

Now, let’s get down to business. How do you make the perfect Margarita? Well, the answer is simple: Tequila, lime juice, and triple sec. But if you want to get fancy, you can add in some fresh fruit like mango, pineapple, or even jalapenos for a spicy kick. Now that you know what goes into a great margarita, it’s time to celebrate Margarita Day in style.

SASHA SAYS:

"So many things about cocktails are lost to the ages. They’re written down on napkins that become soggy or scribbled on matchbooks that wind up buried deep in the pocket of a forgotten coat—or worse, spoken aloud and left to the whims of storytelling. But there are some things we do know about the Margarita, that classic combination of tequila, lime juice and orange liqueur. There’s no rule that says you can’t play around with the ingredients, but it’s hard to beat the classic recipe. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a bottle of Fortaleza Reposado, Casamigos Reposado, or Enemigo Tequila, and celebrate Margarita Day in style! Cheers!"
